PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Overview

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course builds on your skills and opens the door to exciting new dive adventures. You'll complete 5 adventure dives, including deep and navigation, while improving confidence and expanding your limits to 30 meters.

Description

You've got your Open Water certification, and now it's time to go further. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to build on what you already know, push your limits, and introduce you to a whole new range of diving experiences, all in the incredible waters of Dahab. This course doesn't require studying for exams. It's entirely experience-based: 5 adventure dives, each one focused on a specific skill set or environment. You plan your dives, you do them, and you come back a more capable, more confident diver every time. Two dives are required for every Advanced Open Water certification. The first is the Deep Adventure Dive, where you'll descend to 18–30 meters, experience the effects of depth, learn to manage nitrogen narcosis, and practice the safety procedures that keep deep diving enjoyable. The second is the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive, where you'll use a compass and natural reference points to navigate precisely underwater, a skill that makes every dive more controlled and more enjoyable. The remaining 3 dives are electives you choose with your instructor. Popular choices in Dahab include night diving, enriched air (EANX), peak performance buoyancy, fish identification, and underwater photography. Each elective introduces you to a new dimension of diving and helps you find the specialties that excite you most. With a maximum of 6 students per course and flexible scheduling, the Advanced Open Water course fits around you. Sessions run across 2 to 3 days, and your instructor tailors the experience to your goals, your pace, and the conditions in the water. By the time you complete your 5th adventure dive, you'll be certified to dive to 30 meters worldwide, with a toolkit of skills and a much clearer sense of where your diving journey is headed next.
