Description

Go Deeper. Explore More. Take your diving beyond 18 metres with the PADI Deep Diver Specialty and learn how to safely explore depths of up to 40 meters / 130 feet. This specialty is perfect for certified divers who want to experience deeper reefs, walls, drop-offs, wrecks, and other underwater environments while developing the skills and knowledge needed for safe deep diving. What You'll Learn During the course, you will learn how to: Plan and conduct deep dives Manage air consumption and dive time at depth Understand the effects of increased pressure and nitrogen narcosis Improve buoyancy and depth control Perform controlled descents and ascents Use your dive computer effectively Handle potential deep-diving emergencies Apply safe buddy and deep-diving procedures The Course The specialty includes 4 deep dives with a PADI Instructor, allowing you to progressively develop your confidence and skills at depth. The course normally takes 2 days, including knowledge development and four practical training dives

Day 1: Day 1:Deep Diving Fundamentals
Your first day focuses on preparing you for deeper diving and becoming comfortable with the changes that occur as you descend. Knowledge Development: Deep dive planning and preparation Understanding pressure and its effects Nitrogen narcosis and how to recognize its effects Air consumption and bottom-time management Deep-diving equipment and dive-computer use Safe descent and ascent procedures 2 Deep Dives: Put your knowledge into practice with two instructor-guided deep dives. You’ll work on controlled descents, buoyancy and depth control, air management, and other essential deep-diving techniques.

The second day focuses on developing your experience and confidence through two additional deep dives. 1 Deep Dive: Continue practicing your deep-diving skills while exploring the underwater environment at greater depths. You’ll refine your buoyancy, depth awareness, air management, and ascent techniques while applying safe and responsible diving practices. Your instructor will guide you throughout the dives and help you build the confidence needed to plan and enjoy deeper recreational dives.
