INTERMEDIATE
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is the natural next step after Open Water Diver. There is no long classroom programme and no exam. You learn by diving.
Over two days you complete five Adventure Dives with your instructor. Two are compulsory: a deep dive and an underwater navigation dive. You then choose three more from the options your centre offers, which may include wreck, night, peak performance buoyancy, enriched air nitrox, drift or underwater naturalist diving.
The course builds confidence, sharpens your buoyancy and navigation, and gives you supervised experience in different types of diving so you can find what you enjoy most.
On completion you are certified to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters. Each Adventure Dive you complete also counts as the first dive of the matching PADI Specialty course.
BEGINNER
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the entry-level scuba certification and the most widely recognised diving qualification in the world. It is designed for beginners with no previous diving experience who want to dive independently with a buddy.
The course combines online theory, confined water skill training in calm, shallow conditions, and four training dives in the open sea. You will learn how to assemble and use scuba equipment, control your buoyancy, clear your mask, manage your air supply, and handle common problems safely and calmly.
Training is delivered over 3–4 days by PADI professionals. All standard dive equipment, a dive computer, the full PADI eLearning package and your certification are included in the course price.
On completion you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres anywhere in the world with a buddy of similar experience.
BEGINNER
The PADI Scuba Diver course is a shorter entry-level certification for people who want to start diving but do not have time for the full Open Water Diver course. It covers the first half of the Open Water programme.
Over two days you complete the core theory, learn the essential scuba skills in shallow confined water, and make two training dives in the sea with your instructor. You will learn how to set up your equipment, breathe comfortably underwater, clear your mask, control your buoyancy, and manage your air supply.
As a certified PADI Scuba Diver you can dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. The certification also counts as credit toward the full Open Water Diver course whenever you choose to continue.
Full standard dive equipment, dive computer, eLearning and certification are included.
