One of Dahab's most experienced diving professionals, with more than two decades of expertise in scuba education, dive center management, and the development of diving tourism in the Red Sea. With over 20 years of experience in the diving industry, I am a highly experienced Dive Instructor, Dive Center Owner, and diving professional based in Dahab, Egypt. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to providing the highest standards of diving education, safety, and customer experience while contributing to the development of the diving community in Dahab. As the owner and manager of AQUA DIVERS, I have successfully transformed the dive center into one of the recognized professional diving centers in the region, earning prestigious international certifications and recognitions, including: * **SSI Diamond Dive Center** * **PADI 5 Star Dive Resort** Beyond operating a successful dive center, I have played an active role in advancing the diving industry in Egypt as a technical manager & committed member of the **Egyptian Chamber of Diving and Water Sports (CDWS)**. My involvement has contributed to maintaining high professional standards and supporting the sustainable growth of diving tourism in Dahab. Over the course of my career, I have personally trained and certified **more than 2,500 divers**, from complete beginners to professional-level divers. My teaching philosophy combines safety, confidence, personalized instruction, and unforgettable underwater experiences. I have also established international partnerships and cooperation agreements with diving schools and organizations from several countries, including the **United Kingdom, Spain, and Aqaba, Jordan**, helping to promote Dahab as a world-class diving destination and expanding Aqua Divers' international network. INTERMEDIATE
Advanced Open Water Diver is the natural next step after your entry-level certification. Over two days you make five dives, each drawn from a different SSI specialty program, and extend your certified depth limit to 30 meters. Two dives are fixed: a deep dive, and a navigation dive where you learn to use a compass and find your way underwater without relying on a guide. You choose the remaining three from the specialties the center offers, or your instructor recommends options based on the sites and your interests. Each dive is preceded by a short knowledge review rather than a full theory course, so the program is focused on diving rather than classroom time. There is no exam. Dahab's varied topography, good visibility and range of depth profiles make it well suited to this level. You need an SSI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent, and you must be at least 12 years old. All equipment, learning materials and certification are included. Each adventure dive also counts as the first dive toward the full specialty, if you decide to continue.
BEGINNER
Basic Diver is a one-day introduction to scuba diving in the Red Sea, designed for people with no previous experience who want to dive in the sea rather than a pool. After a short briefing and a shallow-water skills session, you dive with your instructor to a maximum depth of twelve metres. The day includes two dives. There is no exam, no homework and no swimming test, and you are not committing to a full certification course. Your instructor stays with you throughout and the group is limited to four people, so the attention is genuinely individual. Dahab is well suited to this: entries are calm, the reef starts close to shore, and visibility is generally good year round. Participants must be at least ten years old. All equipment, learning materials and your digital recognition card are included in the price. On completion you receive the SSI Basic Diver rating, which allows you to keep diving with an SSI Open Water Instructor for the following six months. If you want the full certification, Basic Diver credits toward the Open Water Diver course.
INTERMEDIATE
The Deep Diving specialty takes you from the 18 meter recreational limit down to 40 meters, the maximum depth for recreational diving. You complete three training dives with progressively increasing depth, planning and leading one of them yourself. The course covers what actually changes as you go deeper: air consumption rises sharply, colors disappear, narcosis becomes a real factor, and your no-decompression time shrinks fast. You learn to plan for all of it, monitor your gas properly, and recognize problems early. There is a theory component and a written exam. You need an Open Water Diver certification or equivalent, and the minimum age is 15. Dahab is a strong location for this course because genuine depth is reachable from shore, without a long boat trip. All equipment, learning materials and certification are included. This specialty is a prerequisite for several more advanced SSI programs, so it is a common next step for divers building toward technical training or professional levels.
BEGINNER
Open Water Diver is the full entry-level scuba certification, recognised worldwide. Over three days you complete the theory, train in a pool or confined water, and make four open water dives on the Red Sea reef. On completion you can dive independently with a qualified buddy, to a maximum of eighteen metres, anywhere in the world, with no expiry date. Dahab is one of the easier places to learn: most training happens from shore rather than a boat, entries are calm, water temperatures stay comfortable year round, and the reef begins close to the beach. Groups are limited to four students and the course runs for a single person, so you are not waiting for others to book. You must be at least ten years old and able to complete a swim and float assessment during the course. All equipment, digital learning materials and certification are included. A four-day version is available at no extra cost, which spreads the theory and pool work across two days instead of one.
